When do I use it?
Object pronouns replace the person or thing affected by the verb, or the one that comes after a preposition. They always go after the verb: "I see her," "Call us," "This is for them."
How do I form it?
I → me: Call me later. You → you: I like you. He → him: Give it to him. She → her: I saw her yesterday. It → it: I want it. We → us: They invited us. They → them: Help them.
Common mistakes for Spanish speakers
Don't use a subject pronoun after the verb. Spanish might tempt you to say "Veo ella", but English says "I see her". Also, object pronouns come after the verb in English, not before it: "Le doy el libro" becomes "I give him the book", never "Him I give the book."
Subject pronouns start an action (she eats), object pronouns receive it (I see her). If a word is the "receiver" of the verb, it uses the object form.
